As a key player on our team, you'll get to develop and deliver innovative embedded finance technologies that will make integrating these services as easy as any other API. Plus, you'll get to put your engineering skills to the test by implementing, testing, and releasing top-quality software using the best practices in the field.
But that's not all! You'll also get to use your problem-solving skills to help support the platform by troubleshooting and identifying root causes of complex technical issues. The role
You will be given the chance to get involved in our Open Banking and Financial Plugins squad which is populated with arguably some of the best Engineers around, hailing from all sorts of backgrounds.
You'll be a voice in every conversion, from tech selection to approach, moving the needle on the Weavr infrastructure and financial plugins towards their true potential, while turning untapped greenfield concepts into a reality. The current product base is written in Typescript, NodeJS and React, using MongoDB, Redis, and RabbitMQ, hosted on AWS and GCP but we're always looking forward.
To keep up with the demand of the product growth we're looking to scale out Engineering by upwards of 50+ Engineers as we look to evolve and internationalise the offering in the coming year, meaning there's ample opportunity to have an impact as a Product Visionary, People Leader, Technical Pioneer or somewhere in between.
Looking at your day, you will have active involvement in the design and development of services and applications, managing integrations and API’s to build the next payment products using Open Banking, cards and wallets.
Who you are
You're fundamentally a great Software Engineer with a passion for your trade.
Must have experience
- 4+ years of experience of NodeJS backend development
- 1+ years with Typescript
- NodeJS frameworks like Express or Nest.js
Nice to have
- Experience working with payments technologies
- Event sourcing pattern
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and REST services (implementing/consuming)
- Message broker technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ Building and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Managing AWS with Terraform or Cloudformation.
