As Operations Lead Austria (m/f/d), you will take full ownership of trawa’s operations in the Austrian market. You will be responsible for building and leading the operational foundation that enables us to scale sustainably, efficiently, and with impact.

You’ll develop scalable processes, build and lead cross-functional teams, and act as the central interface between the local organization and HQ. You are part of the local leadership team, you’ll ensure excellent execution, trusted partnerships, and a strong company culture on the ground.

In this role, you will combine entrepreneurial drive with operational excellence – building efficient structures, managing complexity, and developing the processes that allow trawa to grow successfully in Austria.

As Operations Lead you have the following responsibilities:

• Ownership for Austrian Operations: You take end-to-end responsibility for all operational activities in the Austrian market, ensuring efficiency, compliance and quality while building the foundation for sustainable growth..

• Building and Scaling Structures: You establish local operations from the ground up, develop and implement scalable systems and processes that enable trawa to grow efficiently while maintaining operational reliability.

• Leadership and Culture: You build, lead, and develop high-performing teams across different functions such as operations, people and finance and more – fostering ownership, alignment, and a strong values-driven culture.

• HQ Collaboration: You collaborate closely with our HQ teams in Berlin, including C-level and management, to align local operations with company-wide strategies, processes, and standards.

• People Leadership: You take full leadership responsibility for your teams, ensuring motivation, clarity, and professional development.

• External Partnerships: You build and maintain strong relationships with key local partners, authorities, and stakeholders of the energy ecosystem to ensure smooth operations and market success.

Who are we looking for

• You have several years of experience in fast-paced environments, e.g., as a project manager at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or in a highly dynamic startup. Additional experience in the energy sector is a strong plus.

• You have outstanding project management skills and can implement complex issues in a pragmatic, structured, and results-oriented way.

• You possess entrepreneurial mindset and understand how to strategically and operationally build new business areas.

• You work analytically, goal-oriented, and with high-quality standards without losing the enjoyment of speed and a hands-on mentality.

• You have a strong affinity for digital tools, understand complex systems, and think in terms of scaling.

• You demonstrate excellence in communication and stakeholder management – both internally and externally, across all levels.

• You speak fluent German and English.

• You are based in Vienna or willing to relocate, with regular travel to our office in Berlin.
