Working at Stotles

About this Role & Why We're Hiring

It's never been a more exciting time at Stotles. Here's why we're looking for you.

Stotles is looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead on our latest product release, Bid Studio. The product has just launched and is now on a journey to adoption. It's a move into a new space for Stotles with different customers and bigger competitors. Design and the way that we solve problems will be a differentiator that Stotles is betting on.

This role requires full ownership of the design process, from user research to product strategy, UI finesse, and close collaboration with engineers to deliver high-quality results.

Comp Range: £75,000 - £95,000 with an additional options equity grant dependent on experience

What we’re thinking about:

  • What are the critical points of our user journey to work on? What are the barriers to adoption? Should we focus on the initial setup of a user's bid plan or go deep on helping them craft exceptional responses?

  • How can we best leverage LLMs to improve the process of managing and responding to bids? We know that it can be a valuable tool to connect the dots to past work and draft initial content. How do we design that into our product experience? What patterns can we explore in a still emerging space?

  • How do we support users not yet ready or able to adopt LLMs in their workflow? For some users, it is a matter of trust. For other users, its their vertical that restricts their level of adoption.

  • How can users experience our product before becoming paid customers? We offer a free tier and are now exploring what shape that takes with this new product offering. How can we connect to users high value moments?

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end design of our bid studio product stream from opportunity to shipped solution.

  • Speak with our users to understand their needs and test solutions using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

  • Work closely with PMs, engineers and other designers through the entire process.

  • Collaborate with customer success, growth and sales to analyse and understand target users, their context, and the competitive landscape.

  • Measure the success of your decisions with the team and iterate when needed.

  • Contribute to our design team and product org culture, teaching others, defining a new bar for greatness and sharing knowledge.

What we value

  • Exceptional IC’s with experience designing complex multi-user B2B SaaS products.

  • Can work through design problems from beginning to end transforming insights from research and analytics into concepts. Detailing the workflows, interactions and components that are required to make it a reality.

  • Ability to create polished high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and supporting documentation so your designs come to life at an equally high quality in the real world.

  • An obsession for figuring stuff out and unravelling problems. Bringing in collaborators at the right moment to keep moving ideas forward.

  • Great communication skills that help others understand your rationale and the hidden complexities of design challenges.

  • Coaching and supporting other designers across the company and continuously working to improve our design processes, principles, and tooling.

  • Project management abilities, we work in small squads and lean on senior team members to steer the ship to the most impactful problems and work.

Who this role isn’t for

  • You lean heavily to one side of the design process. This role is for someone who thrives at all stages of the journey.

  • You want a team that has it all figured out. This is a new product, and in the age of LLMs we work scrappy and need people who enjoy adapting to new needs.

  • You need lots of support and direction on what to work on next. You should come with the ideas and thrive on ambiguity.

📢 Most importantly, we're looking for curious, ambitious people who love to learn and want to be a part of building something special. If (for any reason) you don't fit our requirements but you're passionate about our vision, don't hesitate to apply!
