QA Software Engineer - Armenia
Shopmonkey
Shopmonkey is seeking a meticulous and curious QA Engineer based in Armenia to enhance product quality across our platform. As a Manual QA Engineer, you’ll serve as the first line of defense against defects, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams. You'll explore the product like a customer, identify potential issues, and ensure confidence in every release. While the role is manual-first, you’ll also partner with the automation team, reviewing Playwright test results and crafting regression plans they can codify.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, is detail-oriented, and can handle rapid context switches without compromising the depth of their understanding.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional squads to validate new features and critical bug fixes.
- Design, document, and execute manual test cases from product requirements, Figma designs, and edge-case analysis.
- Own the manual regression process for release cycles, triaging regressions, and tracking known issues.
- Explore and identify edge cases, data integrity bugs, and integration mismatches across systems and APIs.
- Use tools like Postman, browser dev tools, and database viewers to investigate issues beyond the UI.
- Partner with automation engineers to convert manual tests into Playwright scripts.
- File high-quality, reproducible bug reports in Linear, with clear severity and steps to reproduce.
- Contribute to quality gates during feature delivery and sign-off processes.
- Track, verify, and retest fixed bugs in collaboration with developers during the release cycle.
We Are Looking for People Who Have:
- 3–5 years of experience testing complex web applications with an emphasis on exploratory and scenario-based testing.
- Proven ability to context-switch across multiple teams or product areas while maintaining high-quality output.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills—you can clearly document bugs and advocate for quality.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Comfort with browser dev tools, inspecting API requests/responses, and investigating front-end/back-end inconsistencies.
- Familiarity with debugging tools and CI pipelines; you know how to interpret test run failures, even if you don't write the code.
- Exposure to Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium frameworks and the ability to collaborate with automation engineers.
