This is our Senior Frontend Developer role for those who want to turn ideas into reality using code, algorithms, and maybe a bit of magic.

Tasks in the role

  • Developing new functionality
  • Participating in team research, technical events, and cross-team projects
  • Sharing your expertise to deliver the best experience for our clients
  • Being proactive and productive
  • Diving into the essence of a problem as much as needed to solve it correctly

Who we are looking for

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Hands-on experience with React, understanding its strengths and weaknesses
  • Web Performance and Accessibility Practices
  • Understanding of DevOps related to frontend code
  • Proactivity and high autonomy
  • Passion for UX
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Not required, but a plus

  • Familiarity with MobX
  • Experience using TypeScript or any other statically typed language

A bit about the team

You can get to know the team better at one of the interviews, but some brief information about future colleagues will be useful now.

The Amber Team is developing one of the company's new products – an AI app in Semrush Social. Currently, the team consists of 8 people: a product owner, technical owner, 2 back-end developers, front-end developer, data scientist, QA engineer, and a designer. We are looking to expand our team with another Frontend Developer who is skilled at (and enjoys) balancing between conducting research and solving practical tasks.

At Semrush, we take a serious and comprehensive approach to hiring new people. We welcome those who are professionals in their field and passionate about their work to join our team.

A “five-minute interview” or “get a job in three clicks” approach is not the way we work.

During the interview, we ask candidates to talk about themselves and their background in detail. We try to discover the most important aspects about the way someone works and their personality before a job offer is made.

Once the resume is received it will be reviewed by a member of the Talent Acquisition team. We try to provide feedback within three working days.

Flexible approach for an interview format

We’re flexible and open for both online interviews and personal meetings at the offices. Choose the option that’s most suitable for you!

In order for the online meetings to be productive, we suggest following these tips to make sure you are set up well:

  • Join the interview from a laptop or desktop computer (not a smartphone). You may need to print something or present your screen during the interview.
  • Please turn on your camera. Visual communication is especially important for us.
  • Choose a quiet place to talk. Attending an interview from the street is not a good idea.
  • Keep your phone at hand in case there are technical issues that mean we have to continue the interview by direct call.
