HR Operations Manager (m/f/d)
People & HR, Operations
Munich, Germany
About the Role at RobCo
At RobCo, we don’t just build robots, we are redefining the relationship between hardware and AI. Our end-to-end solutions seamlessly combine advanced, scalable industrial hardware with a central software suite powered by Physical AI to make manufacturing truly autonomous, efficient, and scalable. By delivering field-ready robotic solutions that just work, we empower industrial companies to automate without complexity and successfully solve the global labor shortage.
With locations in Munich, San Francisco, and Austin, and backed by leading global investors such as Lightspeed, Lingotto Innovation, and Sequoia, we are redefining Autonomous Industrial Robotics.
At RobCo, we automate the ordinary, so humans can do the extraordinary. To achieve this, we are looking for an ambitious HR Operations Manager (m/f/d) to help us establish RobCo as leading provider of automation solutions.
In this key role, you are the engine room of our People team. You ensure that our global HR operations - from payroll to contract management - run with the same precision and scalability as our robots. Your mission is to build seamless, tech-driven administrative processes that provide our employees with a world-class experience and allow our leadership to make data-driven decisions.
Your Responsibilities
Global Payroll Excellence: Own and manage the end-to-end payroll process for RobCo in Europe, ensuring 100% accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Process Automation: Identify bottlenecks in the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, contract changes) and implement automated workflows to minimize manual tasks.
HR Infrastructure: Manage and optimize our HRIS (e.g., Personio, HiBob) and integrated tools to maintain a "single source of truth" for all People data.
Compliance & Legal: Ensure all HR processes adhere to local labor laws, tax regulations, and GDPR requirements across our global locations.
Benefits Administration: Manage and scale our global benefits programs, including our Wellpass membership, pension schemes, and insurance providers.
People Analytics: Prepare regular reports and dashboards on key HR metrics (headcount, turnover, personnel costs) to support the management team.
Relocation & Visa Management: Support international hires with relocation processes and visa applications, ensuring a smooth transition into the RobCo ecosystem.
Employee Support: Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding all administrative, payroll, and benefits-related inquiries.
We're looking for someone who has:
Has completed a degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Finance, or a related field; or completed vocational training with a focus on payroll/accounting.
Brings at least 3 years of hands-on experience in HR Operations and Payroll, ideally within a fast-paced, international scale-up environment.
Has deep knowledge of German labor law, social security, and tax regulations (US knowledge is a significant advantage).
Loves tools and automation. This person should be proficient in modern HRIS platforms and Excel, and enjoy finding digital solutions to administrative challenges.
Brings an extreme attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity and understands that "close enough" isn't an option for payroll.
Takes full responsibility for their domain, proactively identifying gaps and proposing scalable solutions.
Has excellent English and German skills (written and verbal).
Why join RobCo?
Develop modular, software-defined robotics solutions with us that set new standards in automation.
Help us build robots equipped with state-of-the-art AI that perceive their environment, analyze data, and make intelligent decisions in real time.
As part of a very dynamic and fast-growing scale-up, you will take on responsibility from day one, drive your own projects, and see the direct impact of your work.
Flat hierarchies, open communication, and regular 360° feedback enable fast decisions and support your professional and personal development.
Work out across Germany in over 7,200 studios with our subsidized Wellpass membership.
Flexible working hours, a modern office, and - depending on the role - the option to work from home.
Regular team events - from relaxed beer & pizza nights on the rooftop terrace to shared experiences on ski trips or at Oktoberfest.
