Lead AI Automation Architect
Architect the core generative AI systems powering Partnerize’s next decade.
Partnerize is building our next-generation Agentic AI platform — an enterprise-grade architecture that processes billions of events per day across our global performance marketing ecosystem.
We are seeking a Lead AI Automation Architect — a hands-on senior engineer who will design and deliver the foundational agentic systems that our entire organisation will build upon. This is a high-impact, deeply technical role reporting into Data Science leadership, with light team leadership responsibilities.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, communicates crisply, and architects systems that scale.
What You’ll Do
Architecture & Technical Leadership
• Architect Partnerize’s Agentic AI framework using Vertex AI, LangGraph, Redis, and Gemini.
• Own the design of RAG pipelines, orchestration logic, semantic memory, planning agents, evaluation workflows, and distributed tool-use systems.
• Make high-impact architectural decisions quickly and confidently — you are the internal authority.
• Lead the transition from external consultants to a fully internal engineering team.
Execution & Delivery
• Build production-grade agentic systems that are maintainable, secure, observable, and fast.
• Establish the internal “Agent Blueprint” — Partnerize’s architecture standard for all future agent development.
• Partner closely with Product and the VP of Architecture to shape technical feasibility and roadmap direction.
• Proactively optimise for latency, cost, reliability, and scalability.
Mentorship & Collaboration
• Mentor AI Automation Engineers and raise the technical bar across coding practices, design patterns, and architectural thinking.
• Drive a culture of crisp communication, low-ceremony documentation, and high-velocity experimentation.
What You Bring
Technical Expertise
• Proven experience architecting and shipping agentic AI systems using LangGraph, LangChain, or ADK.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, RAG optimisation, prompt evaluation, and agent orchestration.
• Hands-on Python engineering capability — this is not a strategy-only role.
• Expert-level GCP knowledge, especially in Vertex AI (Pipelines, Model Registry, Feature Store).
• Experience deploying production AI systems with strong DevOps and CI/CD foundations.
Communication & Leadership
• Exceptional clarity in explaining complex AI systems to engineers, product partners, and executives.
• Experience in senior IC roles (Staff/Principal/Architect) owning design end-to-end.
• Comfortable acting as the internal decision-maker in areas of technical ambiguity.
