This role will combine working remotely from home and, from time to time, in Partnerize’s Newcastle upon Tyne office. Please note that this is not a Training Contract role and may not suit those seeking a formal legal training pathway.

  • Partner with the current Contract Manager to manage and take ownership of the end-to-end contract management process for all customer contracts.
  • Draft, review, redline, negotiate, and advise business leaders on commercial contracts, specifically Partnerize’s software and services agreements with customers, vendors, technology partners, consultants, and other service providers.
  • Maintain, organise, and manage a queue of contracts, practicing effective prioritisation and efficiency.
  • Ensure contracts align with company goals and standards.
  • Manage the contract approval process.
  • Oversee the contract management system, including maintaining a structured digital contract repository and setting up alerts and triggers.
  • Clearly explain terms and conditions to internal and external stakeholders and support training on standard contract documents, processes, and systems.
  • Report on contract analyses and metrics.
  • Identify and communicate areas of improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or a combination of experience and training that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities in contract management. We are open to hiring an experienced paralegal or a commercial solicitor for this role.
  • Substantial experience reviewing, analysing, redlining, editing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and agreements (e.g., MSAs, NDAs, SaaS agreements, IT agreements, vendor contracts, service agreements, marketing agreements, etc.).
  • Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other web-based CRM and contract management software.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people across all areas of the organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines with high-quality output, and work independently while contributing to a cohesive Legal team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills with senior management and sales teams.
  • Demonstrated persuasive and influencing capabilities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively both remotely and in person.

  • Experience in software licensing transactions.
  • Experience with marketing or advertising technology, software development, or other technical environments.
  • Experience independently leading projects and/or cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience negotiating terms from a playbook.
  • Experience responding to RFIs and RFPs.
