ABOUT NUMA

Hey there! We’re Numa, a forward-thinking hospitality brand redefining how people discover cities. We create spaces where simplicity meets innovation, offering thoughtfully designed rooms, studios, and apartments in the heart of Europe’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
We’re not just transforming the guest experience—we’re revolutionizing the hospitality industry from the inside out. Our cutting-edge technology streamlines operations, delivering unparalleled value with no hidden fees—just real, quality experiences.
At Numa, we believe that travel should be curious and authentic, and we bring those same values to our work culture. As part of our team, you’ll experience a dynamic and supportive environment where creativity thrives, and your contributions make a real impact. We’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where every voice is valued, and different perspectives fuel our innovation.

We’re looking for a hands-on, results-oriented Regional People Partner to join our growing People team in Berlin. In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end employee lifecycle in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, while also supporting our central team in Germany.

You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees alike. You’ll partner with our General Managers and central People Team to foster an engaging, high-performance culture. You’ll play a key role in delivering a consistently great people experience across Western Europe and beyond, enabling our talents to do their best work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

People Operations

  • Own and execute the key lifecycle moments for your region—onboarding, contract changes, leaves, and exits—ensuring a seamless, high quality, and compliant experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all People topics in your region, resolving queries in our inbox and help desk
  • Identify pain points and implement improvements to make People Operations processes more efficient, automated, and scalable
  • Maintain data accuracy for your region in our HRIS (Personio) and work closely with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate data input for smooth payroll input processes.
  • Keep our internal knowledge base (Notion) up to date with clear localized information.
  • Manage regional compliance topics, including health & safety, benefits administration, etc.

People Partnering

  • Partner with General Managers and local teams to strengthen our culture, driving engagement initiatives with regional teams.
  • Act as a strategic partner to regional leaders, e.g. with regard to organizational design, talent planning, workforce strategy and payroll budgets.
  • Lead performance review cycles and calibration sessions. Partner with leaders on talent reviews, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and design and deliver tailored learning sessions to upskill teams and leaders.
  • Handle employee relations cases, ensuring fair, timely, and compliant resolutions.
  • Provide expert guidance on country-specific employment laws and regulatory requirements.

ABOUT YOU

  • 4+ years of experience in a People Partner / HR Operations Lead role with multi-country responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of employment law in at least 2 of the covered countries, with the motivation to develop expertise in the others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one of the following at C1 level: German, Dutch, or French.
  • Motivated to help shape the future of People processes and People partnering at Numa, building new frameworks from scratch or improving upon existing ones.
  • High attention to detail and comfortable managing sensitive data accurately.
  • Proactive, autonomous, solution-oriented, and skilled at navigating complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Strong stakeholder-management abilities and a collaborative, relationship-driven working style.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring how AI can enhance People processes and the employee experience.
  • Willingness to work from our HQ in Berlin at least 3 days per week, with occasional travel to the regions you support.
