We're seeking a talented and dedicated HR Generalist to join our growing team in Berlin. In this pivotal role, you'll be the backbone of our payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while also contributing to a wide range of HR initiatives.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Own the Payroll Process: Manage end-to-end payroll for our diverse team, ensuring timely and accurate processing, including calculations, deductions, and reporting, in compliance with German labour laws and regulations.
• Be a Payroll Expert: Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries, providing clear and helpful guidance to employees and stakeholders.
• Maintain HR Data Integrity: Accurately manage and update employee data in our HRIS, ensuring data quality for payroll and other HR functions.
• Support HR Operations: Assist with various HR generalist tasks, including onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, policy implementation, and benefits administration.
• Contribute to HR Projects: Participate in and lead HR projects aimed at improving processes, enhancing employee experience, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Explore AI in HR (Nice to Have!): If you have an interest in how AI can be leveraged in HR (e.g., for data analysis, process automation, or personalised employee experiences), you'll have opportunities to research, propose, and potentially implement innovative solutions.

ABOUT YOU

• Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist with a strong focus on payroll processing in Germany.
• Payroll Prowess: In-depth knowledge of German payroll laws, social security regulations, and tax requirements.
• HRIS Savvy: Experience working with HRIS systems (mention specific systems if relevant to your company, e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors).
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and a methodical approach to managing sensitive data.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (C1 level required for both).
• Problem-Solver: A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, able to resolve payroll discrepancies and HR issues effectively.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
• AI Curiosity (Bonus!): A genuine interest in exploring and learning about the application of artificial intelligence in human resources. While not a strict requirement, this passion will set you apart.
• Onsite: Open to working from the office at least 3 days a week.
