The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Release Manager to join LucidLink, where you’ll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the Release process for multiple components and projects. You’ll own it, architect its evolution, and drive its automation. Our ability to innovate rapidly and deliver flawlessly is central to our mission. You will be the force that ensures our innovations reach our customers with unparalleled speed, quality, and precision, directly impacting our growth and market leadership.

As the Release Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of all software releases, acting as the critical bridge between our technical and business teams. This is a high-visibility role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, attention to details, and exceptional leadership to manage a complex release pipeline and champion a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Govern the Release Process: Plan and manage the company's release schedule, making sure it's clear and predictable for everyone.

  • Coordinate and Execute: Lead the entire release process, from planning, creating the release candidates, coordinating between key teams, to making the final go-live decision and reviewing how it went.

  • Act as the Communication Hub: Be the main contact person for different teams (like Product, Development, Marketing, Support, QA, and DevOps), making sure everyone is on the same page and working together.

  • Manage Release Tools: Handle the tools we use for releases, including Jira for tracking tasks, Confluence for documents, Git and Bitbucket for various release tasks, and Jenkins for creating release candidates and performing deployments.

  • Manage Risk: Find and solve problems that could affect a release. Coordinate with all the key stakeholders in finding a solution if needed.

  • Ensure Quality: Set and enforce quality standards for all releases to make sure they are stable and reliable.

  • Improve and Automate the Process: Work with the DevOps team to find ways to automate and speed up the release process. Be involved in these improvements by taking on automation tasks whenever possible.

  • Use Data to Get Better: Track key metrics (like how often we release and how successful they are) and use that data to make the process better and have a clearer understanding of the quality of the releases we produce.

  • Handle Documentation: Make sure all releases are well-documented, with clear release notes and deployment plans for everyone involved.

  • Learn from Each Release: Analyze every release to understand what went well, what went wrong and what can be improved for next time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Release Management, DevOps, or Technical Project Management within a fast-paced software product company.

  • Understanding of the CI/CD principles. Knowledge of how to automate the process of building and deploying software to release updates quickly and reliably.

  • Hands-on, practical experience with Git.

  • Proven expertise in managing and coordinating complex software releases using tools like Jira and Confluence.

  • Strong familiarity with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, including an understanding of pipeline configuration and build/deployment automation principles.

  • Intermediate proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and data analysis.

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.

  • Familiarity with leveraging AI-driven analytics to monitor release health, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous process improvements.
