To support our scale, we are investing in internal systems automation and integration, and we’re looking for a highly capable Integration & Middleware Engineer to help us build the bridge between tools and teams.

LucidLink is seeking a technically versatile Integration & Middleware Engineer to design and implement integrations across our internal tech stack. This is a hands-on engineering role within Corporate IT and focuses on enabling scalable, automated workflows that improve employee experience and operational efficiency — without impacting core product engineering velocity. The ideal candidate will work across departments to create seamless, secure, and scalable automation between our core systems and is comfortable working with APIs, scripting, SaaS platforms, and middleware/iPaaS tools to connect systems like Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, Okta, Slack, Zoom, HRIS, finance, and custom internal apps.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own the architecture, design, development, and ongoing support of key integrations across LucidLink’s internal tech stack and SaaS platforms using APIs, webhooks, and event-driven logic.

  • Work closely with IT, Security, Finance, HR, and Business Operations to identify integration needs and deliver solutions.

  • Write and maintain clean, secure scripts and middleware components using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar.

  • Build and manage integrations through iPaaS or automation platforms such as Workato, Tray.io, or Boomi.

  • Develop connectors using REST APIs, webhooks, and data transformation logic (JSON, XML).

  • Securely manage API tokens, service accounts, and secrets using tools like AWS Secrets Manager or Vault.

  • Ensure monitoring, logging, and error handling are in place for all critical integrations.

  • Maintain clear documentation of integration flows, system dependencies, and change logs.

  • Champion security and compliance requirements within integration solutions (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a technical integration, DevOps, or automation engineering role.

  • Hands-on experience integrating SaaS apps using RESTful APIs, GraphQL, OAuth2, Webhooks, etc..

  • Demonstrated experience writing production-ready Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or PowerShell to automate workflows and integrate systems.

  • Understanding of JSON, XML, YAML, and experience parsing, transforming, and mapping data structures between systems

  • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining integrations between SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Jira, Okta, Zoom, Workday, Slack, NetSuite).

  • Familiarity with middleware/iPaaS platforms (Workato, Zapier, Boomi, Tray.io, etc.)to orchestrate no-code/low-code integrations at scale.

  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS) is a strong plus.

  • Experience with secure handling of secrets, API keys, and use of tools like AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or environment key rotation best practices.

  • Ability to write robust integration logic, error handling, retries, and rate limit management

  • Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally and translate business needs into technical integration solutions.

  • Autonomous and resourceful – solves problems without needing to constantly escalate.

  • Good at documentation and change management.

  • Works well in agile environments and manages competing priorities.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless functions (Lambda, Cloud Functions).Prior work in high-growth SaaS or product-led organizations where integrations were core to scaling IT/Business operations.

  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Terraform, Okta Workflows, or similar tools.

  • Background in compliance-driven environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001).

  • Experience integrating internal systems for security and compliance automation (e.g., Jira to Vanta or TrustCloud, Slack SIEM alerts, audit trail logging).

  • Experience mapping and improving end-to-end business workflows (e.g., lead-to-cash, employee lifecycle).
