Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration: Mapping out the reporting requirements for Leapwork, working closely with stakeholders form cross-functional teams to understand how data can and should be used for decision making and analysis.

• Power BI development: Construction and maintenance of reporting in Power BI. Including designing user friendly reports, manipulating data to be fit for purpose, and building visuals. As a report owner you will be responsible for the maintenance of the report, making sure it is updated and still relevant for end users.

• Data modelling: General support with development of our data architecture in Microsoft Fabric. Working with spark notebooks to clean and manipulate data in our data lake to create structured Lakehouse content.

• Enhance data content: Setting up new data source connections to feed into our data lake, using tools such as spark notebooks, data pipeline and Dataflow gen 2.

• Training and support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of BI solutions and self-service reporting capabilities.

• Drive development: Identify areas of improvement in the form of how we are working with and processing data, covering both end user actionability and back end development.
• Documentation: Using Confluence and tools like Draw-io to document BI solutions, data models, and processes for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Required Skills/Experience:

• A university degree in a technical subject, such as engineering, statistic, mathematics, computer science, data science, or information systems. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered for candidates with proven expertise in data-related fields
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience working with Power BI, including creating dashboards, reports, and data visualisations
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating databases
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages, preferably Python, for data processing and analysis
• Professional Experience:
  • At least 2 years of technical experience in a professional setting, preferably in a BI or data analysis role
• Data Visualisation:
  • Ability to choose appropriate visuals for different types of data and effectively communicate insights
  • Understanding of how to tell a compelling story using data
• Business Acumen
  • Strong understanding of how data can be leveraged to drive business decisions and improve processes
• Communication Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work with stakeholders of varying seniority and from different departments to gather requirements and present findings
• Adaptability:
  • Experience working in environments that are dynamic and rapidly changing, such as small teams, scale-ups, or start-ups
• Statistical Knowledge:
  • Basic understanding of statistics and its application in a business context, including descriptive and inferential statistics

It’s a plus, but not a must, if you have:

• Experience working with Python and/or R programming languages in a data and analysis capacity
• Understanding of Spark, version controlling (git)
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience with creating data pipelines, ELT/ETL processes, and API calls
• Experience working with Jira for task management, and confluence for documentation
