THE POSITION
Helcim is searching for an experienced Product Designer focused on mobile experiences to join our Design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving and evolving our mobile POS and smart terminal mobile experience while leveraging research-driven methodologies to deliver innovative design solutions. The Product Designer will work within the Design Team while collaborating with cross-functional business groups, including Product Managers, Front-end and Backend engineers, and Brand designers. The ideal candidate is passionate about design and technology, has extensive knowledge of mobile constraints and opportunities, and can craft modern and delightful mobile visual experiences that are informed by user research and AI-driven insights.
Here are the things you’ll own day to day:
- Design with purpose utilizing both research and creativity.
- Execute high-quality mobile visual designs.
- Leverage creative thinking to explore different solutions, concepts, and ideas continually.
- Conduct Design Studio sessions in a collaborative and thought-provoking environment.
- Leverage AI technologies and user research methodologies to uncover insights and iterate on design solutions.
- Work side by side with Product Managers and engineers.
- Collaborate closely on a design system to continually improve the quality and consistency of our Product UI/UX.
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- You have at least 5 years of experience working in the UX design field, with at least 2 years specializing in designing mobile products.
- Obsession for simplifying complex user experience flows.
- Great sensibility for design & aesthetics.
- Have a research mindset that aims to investigate the problem, leverage the right methods to uncover findings, and elaborate on solutions accordingly.
- Strong understanding of Lean/Agile approaches when researching and implementing solutions.
- Firm grasp of how to develop and work within design systems and patterns.
- Manage your time effectively by determining the right amount of time to invest in research activities and identifying which activities are best to inform your decisions.
- Always willing to take constructive criticism.
- Collaborative attitude that prioritizes teamwork over individual work.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, combined with strong interpersonal skills.
- Must provide a design portfolio showcasing UX design projects with beautiful hi-fi design mockups.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Understanding of CSS/HTML.
- Experience designing complex or enterprise-level software.
- Experience in the fintech space.

Training: Helcim will cover 50% of the applicable training costs of up to $500 per year.
