THE POSITION

Helcim is searching for an IT Support Specialist to be responsible for our IT environment. This position will deal with a wide range of systems, including G-Suite, Intune, Kandji, and office equipment. In this role, you will have ownership over our existing infrastructure, with the responsibility to maintain and implement improvements. We’re looking for a talented individual with a passion for IT and strong problem solving skills.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL LOOK AFTER;

• Technical hardware and software support on Windows and MacOS workstations.
• Administer the organization’s applications, services, software, and security policies through various systems.
• Onboarding and initial training of new hires.
• Stay up to date with the latest security threats and trends.
• Audit antivirus alerts and collaborate with the security team.
• Create, manage, and maintain end-user technical documentation.
• Evaluating and mitigating the impact of changes to IT systems.
• Manage incoming requests, prioritizing according to business needs.
• Identifying areas of improvement through process or technology.
• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks.
• Design and implement automation solutions to improve IT workflows and reduce manual intervention.
• Troubleshoot and refine existing automation tools and scripts.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Technical diploma or degree in Computer Sciences
• Proficient with Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android devices
• Familiarity with PowerShell and/or bash scripting
• Experience with Mobile Device Management solutions is an asset
• Understanding of basic networking principles
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills

Training: Helcim will cover 50% of the applicable training costs of up to $500 per year.
