About the role

We’re hiring a Manager of Product Quality (Gummy) to lead Grüns’ quality systems across our co-manufacturing network. This individual will play a critical role in innovation and quality to ensure every product launch scales smoothly from pilot to commercialization, while also elevating consistency and performance of our existing portfolio. You’ll be a key partner to R&D, Quality, Product Development, and Operations, with frequent on-site work at our co-mans (50%+ travel). This role reports into our Senior Manager of R&D.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure co-manufacturers consistently follow SOPs during product commercialization of new products, safeguarding quality from pilot to scale-up.
• Review and audit co-manufacturers' MMR/Batch Records to ensure the product meets specification standards.
• Collaborate with R&D to provide technical guidance on ingredient substitution or changes, process modifications, and formulation troubleshooting during scale-up.
• Proactively identify and resolve production issues in partnership with co-mans; create processes to catch and fix risks prior to launch
• Collaborate on sensory evaluation of new products, ensuring flavor, texture, and appearance align with brand and customer expectations
• Standardize product quality across co-mans, minimizing differences in overall experience.
• Oversee quality documentation and stability testing
• Partner with the Quality and CX teams to identify improvements from customer feedback and complaints
• Travel to co-manufacturers around 50% of the time and spend 50% of the time working remotely

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 3+ years of quality control experience in gummy manufacturing.
• Experience in gummy manufacturing from bench-scale R&D to commercial production with strong technical knowledge.
• Brings a proven track record of managing multiple co-mans, launching new products, and solving production issues.
• Is skilled in quality control and assurance, SOP implementation, and sensory evaluation (texture, flavor, appearance).
• Works with a problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and thrives in fast-paced, multi-SKU environments.
• Communicates clearly and collaborates seamlessly across teams.
• Is excited to travel frequently and work hands-on with co-man partners.
• HACCP certification (preferred)

At Grüns, we're committed to providing a competitive total compensation package—grounded in market data that considers our size, stage, industry, and location. For this role, the base salary range is between $100,000-$120,000 depending on experience.
