About the Role:
The Studio is Fetch’s internal creative engine; responsible for photography, animation, videography, illustration, and branding company-wide to be based out of our Madison, WI office. From creative direction to production, our goal is to deliver a fun experience that our shoppers (and partners) love and can’t live without.
Fetch is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Photo Studio Intern to join our team. You will be working closely with the Studio team to support various aspects of the creative process, assisting with photo shoots, collaborating with experienced professionals (Art Directors, Producers, Photographers and Stylists) and gaining hands-on experience in a professional creative environment. We work in a startup atmosphere where individuals take ownership and have a significant impact on the final product.
This is a hybrid role:
Monday and Fridays - Work from Home or Office 8:30 am - 4:30pm
Tuesday-Thursday in office (Madison, WI) 8:30 am - 4:30pm
Role Responsibilities:

- Craftspeople. You have a well-practiced eye for detail & aesthetics, always looking for ways to improve the project or in this case, the Studio Space.
- Radically scrappy. You thrive in ambiguity and won’t hesitate to get exactly what you need to keep moving ahead. You can get stuff done!
- Team-players. Our secret sauce is our team dynamic; we don’t have time for egos.
Some Tasks will Include:
1. Studio & Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized studio environment, ensuring all workspaces are tidy and efficient.
- Oversee the organization of props, products, and studio equipment for optimal accessibility and workflow.
- Regularly update and maintain labeling systems to ensure easy identification of products and props.
- Assemble and set up furniture, props, and equipment as needed for shoots.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to maintain a clean and sustainable workspace.
- Care for studio plants, ensuring a well-maintained and visually appealing environment.
2. Production & Shoot Preparation
- Assist in on-set and on-location shoots, providing support to photographers, stylists, and creative teams.
- Help develop and maintain shot lists to streamline production workflows.
- Contribute to concepting and planning sessions, providing creative input and logistical support.
- Locate and procure through online shopping, to ensure all necessary items are available for shoots.
- Restock stylist carts with essential tools, props, and materials to keep styling efficient.
- Hang, prep, and steam wardrobe and towels to maintain a polished and professional presentation.
By the end of the Internship, you will learn:
- Intimately familiar with the Fetch app; using it in your daily life.
- Understand how to keep a working studio organized including set set-up, breakdown, and organization.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and collaboration between Art Directors, Producers, Photographers, and other creatives, while gaining insight into the intricacies of Art Direction and Styling.
- Have a solid understanding of how a photo studio works.
- Build confidence in applying learned skills to real-world professional settings while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic startup community of creatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a photography, graphic design, or related program at an accredited institution (preferred) or have a portfolio of work that showcases a variety of creative skills.
- Strong passion for the creative field with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics, coupled with a desire to learn and grow.
- Basic knowledge of photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.
- Motivation, curiosity, and creativity. Self-starter attitude, resourcefulness, and persistence in execution.
- A tendency to self-direct and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced startup environment but also be a good team player.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to organize physical spaces efficiently, with a passion for maintaining a well-structured and functional environment.
- Emphasizes hands-on work over computer-based tasks, making this role highly active and physically engaging.
- Ideal for individuals comfortable with the dynamic, fast-paced nature of a photography studio, which may differ significantly from traditional office-based roles.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and a reliable source of transportation
Compensation:
Fetch Marketing internships pay $40/ hour. Please note: pay is not negotiable.
