The fashion industry is responsible for 5–10% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. As pressure for climate action grows, more companies are turning to carbon management tools. But most platforms are generic, lacking the depth needed for driving real change in fashion.
That’s why we built Carbonfact, the only environmental data platform tailored for the textile and fashion industry. Our platform automates product-level life-cycle assessments (LCAs) and company-level carbon accounting, helping brands measure, model, and reduce their impact with precision.
We’ve raised $17M from top-tier investors including Alven, Headline, and Y Combinator, and we’re already trusted by leading brands like Carhartt, GANNI, On, Allbirds, Armedangels, Jack Wolfskin, and many more.
Now, we're growing Carbonfact for Suppliers - a new platform connecting brands with factories and material suppliers - and we're looking for a driven intern to help us build it from the ground up.
Growth and Business Development Intern
We've opened a 6-month internship position on our Marketing team, to help build out the supplier network and grow a two-sided marketplace from an early stage. This position is only available to current students enrolled in university.
During the internship, you will report directly to the Head of Marketing and work closely with the founders.
What you'll do

Supplier Network Growth:
Research and recruit factories and suppliers globally
Build lists and conduct database research
Execute outreach via email, LinkedIn, and cold calls (yes, picking up the phone is part of the job)
Guide suppliers through the onboarding process

Campaign Development & Optimization:
Build and test email campaigns
Leverage AI to automate lead enrichment and outreach personalization
Continuously improve messaging through testing

Supplier Engagement:
Join supplier meetings and attend industry events
Gather insights to help improve our value proposition and messaging
What you'll learn
You will work closely with our Head of Marketing and with a small, fast-moving company. You will learn the ins and outs of growth marketing and startup operations, including:
How to design and execute growth strategies
Learn about AI to automate lead enrichment and outreach personalization
How to execute outreach strategies
How to test and optimize messaging (A/B testing)
How two-sided marketplaces grow supply
How a SaaS startup operates
How sustainability data flows across the fashion supply chains
Who you are
Currently enrolled in university for the duration of the internship.
Available 4+ days per week for at least 6 months, starting ASAP.
You are based in Amsterdam or Paris - can work from the office at least 2 days per week.
You have experience with business development or growth marketing.
You are comfortable with cold outreach and picking up the phone to make cold calls.
You are proactive and quick to take initiative.
You are comfortable learning by doing, and open to feedback.
High professional fluency in English.
