Job description

🎯 Atlys’ mission is to enable every person on earth to travel freely.

At Atlys, we’re building the infrastructure that makes international travel seamless, driven by a clear vision to remove friction and uncertainty from global travel. Today, visas and travel documentation remain some of the most frustrating, time-consuming, and unpredictable parts of the journey. Our goal is to solve this through technology, making global travel faster, simpler, and far more predictable.

Building the future of global mobility is one of the most exciting opportunities of this decade, and we’re only getting started.

Job requirements

As a Visa Operations & Strategy Associate, you will own the end-to-end setup and accuracy of visa products on Atlys, ensuring that every relevant Destination × Citizenship × Residence combination is live, fully researched, and correctly configured. You will play a key role in driving both platform coverage and customer experience by ensuring that visa requirements, timelines, documentation, and application flows are accurate and clearly communicated. This is a high-ownership role that requires strong attention to detail, system thinking, and the ability to manage complexity at scale in a fast-paced environment.
As part of one of the fastest-growing startups in the travel space, this is a 6-day in-office role that requires a consistent and reliable on-ground presence.

The Job

  • Map and maintain the full universe of Destination × Citizenship × Residence combinations that should be live on Atlys, ensuring no relevant combination is missing

  • Research visa requirements using primary sources such as government portals, consulate websites, embassy circulars, and official policy documents

  • Validate and publish visa rules including eligibility criteria, documentation, timelines, fees, and travel purpose nuances

  • Continuously expand coverage in line with business priorities

  • Own end-to-end configuration of each visa combination across internal systems, including eligibility logic, customer flows, pricing, and case routing

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all systems to avoid customer and operational issues

  • Proactively audit configurations to identify and fix discrepancies before they impact users

  • Maintain a structured and reliable source of truth for all active visa configurations

  • Collaborate with product, fulfillment, and growth teams to prioritise high-impact combinations and improve coverage

  • Flag policy changes, accuracy issues, and configuration gaps that impact customer experience or operational quality

The ideal candidate

  • Strong with Sets and Combinatorial Thinking: You are comfortable reasoning about large, structured problem spaces. Destination × Citizenship × Residence is a three-dimensional matrix of millions of possibilities. You can identify what is missing, what is inconsistent, and what the full coverage universe should look like. You think in sets, not in lists.

  • Structural Thinker: You don't just execute tasks — you build systems. You create frameworks that make it easy to audit, scale, and verify your work. Your documentation is organised, consistent, and self-explanatory.

  • Immense Ownership: If something is wrong, you fix it. If something is out of sync, you catch it before someone else does. You treat global visa coverage as your product — not a checklist handed to you by someone else.

  • Extreme Attention to Detail: A single incorrect field can send a customer down the wrong path. You operate with zero tolerance for approximation or assumptions.

  • Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable working across multiple internal tools and configuration systems simultaneously. You pick up new platforms quickly and use them with precision.

  • Experience: 2+ years

  • Educational background in a tech-related field preferred

  • Immediate joiners preferred

What the hiring journey looks like

  • First up: If your profile looks like a strong fit, our People team will reach out within 7 days for a quick intro chat.

  • Next up: You’ll speak with the hiring manager and a peer (order may change depending on calendars, we like to keep things fast and flexible).

  • Finally: If it feels like a strong mutual fit, we move fast and get you started at Atlys.

We keep communication transparent and timelines quick. If things don’t work out, we’ll always close the loop over email, and you’re welcome to apply again in the future :)
