FABRICS & TRIMS ASSISTANT

ANINE BING is looking for a Fabrics & Trims Assistant to join its Fabrics team based in Paris.

The Fabrics & Trims Assistant is responsible for sourcing, developing, and managing woven fabrics to uphold the brand’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation. This role plays a key part in shaping the brand’s sourcing identity while collaborating closely with design and production teams. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and passionate about textiles.

This role reports to the Group Manager and is based at our Paris HQ.

Responsibilities Include:

• Source and develop woven fabrics that align with the brand’s aesthetic and quality standards.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure cost optimization.
• Oversee fabric testing, approvals, and coordination of bulk production.
• Ensure all fabrics meet sustainability, innovation, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with design teams to align material selection with creative vision.
• Stay informed on market trends, new fabric innovations, and sustainability advancements.
• Lead and mentor an intern to support fabric sourcing and development initiatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in fabric sourcing and development.
• Fluency in both English and French (Italian is a strong plus).
• Expertise in textile innovation, sustainability, and technical specifications.
• Experience working with global suppliers and negotiating pricing.
• Strong ability to balance technical knowledge with design creativity.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English & French.
