Product Development Associate (Non-Apparel)
ANINE BING is seeking a talented Product Development Associate to join our dynamic team.
This role collaborates closely with the Studio Manager and cross-functional teams to develop apparel and accessories that align with ANINE BING’s brand aesthetic and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about product development, with a strong focus on quality, timelines, and vendor collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of high-quality apparel and accessories in line with ANINE BING’s aesthetic and brand standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to meet development deadlines and achieve business goals.
- Assist in sourcing materials and managing vendor relationships, including onboarding new vendors as needed.
- Facilitate cost negotiations to ensure competitive pricing that aligns with production goals.
- Review prototypes and samples for accuracy in material, color, quality, and workmanship.
- Attend fit sessions and provide input on product-related feedback and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of development progress in ERP systems and internal databases.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and support process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
- Manage email communications and vendor interactions to ensure timely and clear updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Textile or Apparel Design (preferred but not required with equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in product development, preferably in non-apparel or accessories.
- Knowledge of materials and techniques, including knits, wovens, and trims.
- Strong understanding of fabric, fit, function, and garment construction techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Suite or ERP/PLM experience is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
