About Airvet:

Founded in Los Angeles in 2018, Airvet’s mission is to provide better access to affordable pet care to pet families across the country.

After building a category-leading consumer telehealth app, we made a strategic pivot in 2022 to partner with employers to offer Airvet as a benefit. Together, we’re creating a movement to celebrate and support all members of the family, pet included.

We’re in an exciting chapter of our story as we build a new category that has the potential to impact millions of people.  If you like challenges and big swings for the fences, Airvet is a place where you will thrive.  We are building a new Business Development function which will change over time.  Through this role you will have the opportunity to be part of that exciting evolution.  Airvet is a California-based  virtual company with internal/external in-person meetings.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Manager/Director of Business Development at Airvet will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and success by working with larger enterprises to identify opportunities for sales, distribution or partnership.  This role requires a strategic thinker (often developed via experience in strategy consulting and/or an MBA) who knows which aspects of Airvet to highlight and asks the right questions to get a deep understanding of a prospective partner’s or client’s needs in order to propose an agreeable win/win solution based on a similarly deep understanding of Airvet.  The successful business development team member will have the ability to build relationships, manage (and report on) many simultaneous prospects making sure that each discussion is always making forward progress, and (where necessary) tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of each client, distributor or partner while achieving Airvet’s goals and economic objectives.

While the role will evolve, initially we expect interactions will be with large employers and other entities with a large membership or client base who would benefit from access to petcare.  Some opportunities may require modeling customized pricing and/or evaluating the viability of custom elements.   If we get lucky, some new solutions may result in a new product line (we have one showing early traction) and you can help the initial clients and processes until it is ready to scale via the sales team.
