About Airvet:

Founded in Los Angeles in 2018, Airvet’s mission is to provide better access to affordable pet care to pet families across the country.

After building a category-leading consumer telehealth app, we made a strategic pivot in 2022 to partner with employers to offer Airvet as a benefit.  Together, we’re creating a movement to celebrate and support all members of the family, pet included.  And employers are signing up! Not only that, they love us (NPS Score of 80) because their employees love us (4.9/5 stars).

We’re in an exciting chapter of our story as we build a new category that has the potential to impact millions of people.  If you like challenges and big swings for the fences, Airvet is a place where you will thrive.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager/Director of Channel Management & Benefit Consultant Relations to drive our engagement with benefit consultants and benefit brokers and related spaces. In this critical role, you will be responsible for building and nurturing strategic partnerships that will enable us to expand our services. We are creating a new category, so this role is expected to evolve/change over time as we learn more.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Benefit Consultant, Broker and Strategic Partner Identification: Develop a comprehensive strategy for growth by helping to Identify, assess, and target potential benefit consultants and benefit brokers who align with Airvet's mission and values. Also potentially in the mix: PEOs, payroll and benefit administration software companies and other related channel opportunities.

  • Relationship Building: Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders in benefit consultant and brokerage firms. You’ll want to call up lots of them, attend events, schedule “lunch and learns” and more.  These will be one-to-one relationships to get individual benefit consultants to refer customers our way.  At some point we may form corporate level relationships but we’ll start with individuals.  Just a few consultants can make a big difference in 2024.

  • Lead generation and beyond: You will be measured on how many sales opportunities and eventually sales come from the channel relationships you manage.  If volume is massive then you’ll pass many onto sales.  But while volume is lower, the best way to learn how to optimize things will be to close deals yourself (with help as needed).  We have already had a few brokers/consultants come inbound but this is a new area for Airvet so we will be learning together how to make channels work.

  • Partner Enablement: work with Marketing to develop any marketing materials, collateral or sales proposals and other forms that will help consultants  bring us sales opportunities.  Provide training and guidance.  Develop processes that make our partners and Airvet successful

  • Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success of channel relationships and partnerships. Regularly assess and report on the performance of channel relationships, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR THE ROLE?

  • 5+ years of experience in channel partnership management, preferably in industries that sell to the HR department.

  • 2+ years working in a benefits-related role:  eg HR strategy consulting, benefits consulting or similar role at a firm that sells to HR departments

  • Proven track record of successfully building and managing strategic partnerships with benefit consultants, benefit brokers, or similar entities.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.

  • Ability to travel as needed for partner meetings and industry events.
