ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our Mid-Market Sales Leader will be crucial in building our sales department by overseeing and driving sales efforts within the mid-market segment. This role involves managing a team of sales professionals, developing sales strategies, and working closely with other departments to achieve revenue targets.We are creating a new category, so this role is expected to evolve/change over time as we learn more.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and coach a team of mid-market sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Foster a high-performance sales culture, ensuring team members have the necessary skills, resources, and training.
Sales Strategy:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies, plans, and tactics to capture the mid-market segment.
Analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key mid-market customers.
Identify customer needs and work with the team to provide tailored solutions and exceptional service.
Performance Metrics:
Set clear performance metrics and KPIs for the mid-market sales team.
Regularly monitor and report on team performance, making data-driven decisions for improvement.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Communicate market insights and customer feedback to internal teams.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
Prepare sales forecasts and budgets for the mid-market segment.
Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet financial goals.
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR THE ROLE?
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven track record of successful mid-market sales leadership, building revenue from $1M-10M+
Strong understanding of mid-market customer needs, market dynamics, and competition.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Ability to travel as needed.
Leadership and coaching skills with a results-driven mindset.
Additional Information:
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
California: Salary range is $175,000 - $200,000 - Plus Commission and Equity
